UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL


United Nations Security Council is one of the six principal organs of the UN. Its primary policy is to maintain international peace and security. It is the only body of the United Nations with the authority to issue binding resolutions to member states. The Security Council plays a pivotal role in maintaining the peace by organising peace keeping missions which is United Naons most expensive and the largest acvity. With a central role to play in internaonal security and global peace, the security council becomes an indispensable organ of the United Nations.
